Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (Blue Cross NC) has donated $10,000 to support public health professionals affected by Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina.

“We are incredibly grateful for Blue Cross NC’s contribution to NCPHA’s Disaster Relief Fund,” said Patrick Brown, Executive Director of the North Carolina Public Health Association (NCPHA). “Many public health professionals have been working on the Helene response, while simultaneously coping with their own losses and challenges at home. Support from partners like Blue Cross NC helps significantly in our efforts to bring much-needed support to our public health family in the west. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference in the long road to recovery.”

One hundred percent of donations to the NCPHA Disaster Relief Fund will go toward directly supporting public health professionals in western NC. NCPHA is accepting donations online or via check – learn more here.
