Disaster Relief Fund
When Hurricane Helene struck Western North Carolina, NCPHA members and partner organizations responded swiftly. Thanks to their efforts, we provided over $40,000 in direct financial assistance to public health professionals affected by the storm.
To ensure we are better prepared for future emergencies, NCPHA decided to establish a permanent Disaster Relief Fund.
Please consider donating either directly here or by purchasing a custom public health T-shirt or sweatshirt from NCPHA’s online store – 100% of profits will go towards the NCPHA Disaster Relief Fund.
Tobacco 21 Fund
Did you know? NC ranks 6th in the nation for youth vaping, yet we are one of 9 states that have not established tobacco retail licensing, and one of 7 states that have not raised the sales age to 21 to be consistent with federal law.
The Tobacco 21 (T21) Coalition was formed in 2024 to protect NC youth from the harms of vaping and nicotine by advancing Solly’s Law (HB 430/SB 318), a bill that would:
✅ Raise the age to 21 for nicotine & vape sales
✅ Require retailer permits to improve enforcement
✅ Protect NC’s $5 million in prevention & treatment funding
Your donation to the T21 fund will support the T21 Coalition’s efforts to advocate for this important legislation and protect NC youth from the harms of vaping and nicotine addiction!
